Job Title: Furnace Control Operator/Instrumentation Tech

Job Description

As an Instrumentation Technician/Furnace Controls Operator, you will be responsible for preparing and operating an electron beam furnace in a metal melting facility. Your duties will include monitoring vacuum levels and temperature gauges, cleaning crucibles, prepping molds, and operating electron beam guns to cast and melt titanium blends. You will also handle industrial machinery and equipment, such as overhead cranes and forklifts, and ensure that the melt rate is on target by monitoring gauges and identifying any discrepancies.

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Richland, Washington.

Work Environment

Work as part of a team in a usually steady, not too fast-paced environment. The schedule involves 7 x 12-hour shifts on days with 4 days off, followed by 4 x 12-hour shifts on nights with 6 days off. Once transitioned to a 4-team rotation, the schedule will follow a Dupont rotating schedule.
