JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY A Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing robust quality assurance processes for suppliers to ensure that the materials provided meet the required quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Creates and maintains quality assurance processes for suppliers, which includes inspection plans, quality control procedures, and documentation requirements. -Evaluates incoming material and disposes of non-conforming material from both suppliers and customers. -Documents customer-provided material non-conformances and communicates that to the customer through the Project Manager. -Works with suppliers to develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans to address quality issues using a Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) report. -Monitors and reports on supplier performance. -Conducts initial and ongoing assessments of potential and existing suppliers to ensure their capabilities meet the required quality standards. -Collaborates with the Outsourcing Team to qualify new suppliers and conduct supplier audits as necessary. -Has consistent contact with suppliers to communicate quality expectations and provide feedback. -Regularly travels to suppliers for auditing purposes.
