Position Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aTechnical Product Support Representativeto join theBuilding Control Systems Wattstopper Teamin Richardson, TX.The successful candidate under general supervision, will provide troubleshooting support for product-related inquiries and act as a crucial link between our customers and the product team.

What Will You Do?

  • Utilize various communication methods (Talkdesk, Salesforce email to case, website) to assist customers with product inquiries and provide comprehensive understanding of our products.

  • Offer detailed support on product installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Create and maintain clear documentation reflecting support activities.

  • Guide customers through understanding lighting control systems’ products, installation, and operation.

  • Diagnose issues, respond to inquiries, and facilitate replacements and returns.

  • Communicate technical concepts to a varied audience.

  • Maintain company reputation and integrity.

  • Monitor support activity trends to determine product issues and new product development opportunities reporting findings to technical support leadership.

  • Support team objectives and promote a collaborative environment.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Education:

  • College Diploma in Electronics/Electrical or 3 years related experience or a combination of both education and experience.

    Experience:

  • Two to three years phone or technical support experience.

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Talkdesk Systems is advantageous.

  • Strong problem-solving skills are essential, with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Excellent communication abilities are crucial, both in writing and verbally, to convey complex information and serve as a technical resource.

  • Able to work independently, assess the severity of the product complaint and use judgment to determine when to escalate issues to supervisor, product liability or related internal resource.

  • Familiarity with networking concepts and electrical, lighting, and building controls preferred.

  • Ability to communicate technically complex topics to both technical and non-technical end users.

  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.

  • Required to be punctual and reliable.

  • Strong computer and software skills, proficiency using e-mail, meeting management and CRM software. Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively.

  • Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus, extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information. Demonstrated ability to give and receive detailed/complex information, and process that information appropriately.
