About the Role:

As a CBRE Software Sr. Engineer, you will work under broad direction and supervise, develop, maintain, and enhance client systems.

This job is part of the Software Engineering job function. They are responsible for successfully executing and monitoring system improvements to increase efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, maintain, enhance, and test client systems of moderate to high complexity.

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact on client engagements.

  • Investigate and resolve complex data, system, and software issues in the production environment.

  • Design and put in place strategic partner integrations.

  • Take part in the specification and design of new features at client or business request.

  • Participate in the evaluation of new platforms, tools, and technologies.

  • Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.

  • Provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, code review, and/or training to coworkers.

  • Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.

  • Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.

  • Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.

  • Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.

  • Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals.

  • Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.

Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

Job Specific Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software and or data engineering experience

  • Strong implementation experience with snowflake ecosystem, knowledge of Snowflake architecture and concepts

  • Strong background in modeling and building data warehouses

  • Strong working experience in Snowflake using warehouses, stored procedures, streams, snow pipes, tasks, stages, storage integration, ingestion frameworks and tools etc.

  • Ability to develop ELT/ETL pipelines to move data to and from Snowflake data store using combination of Python, dbt and SnowSQL

  • Strong experience in ETL/ELT technologies such as informatica, Snaplogic etc.

  • Strong experience implementing data quality technologies such as informatica, SuperZoom, etc.

  • Experience integrating with cloud native applications using Salesforce, AWS or Azure

  • Excellent SQL skills, writing SQL stored procedures and functions

  • Experience in leading teams, propose design, establish best practices and engineering discipline

  • Experience building reports, dashboards, and visualizations with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred

  • Experience with build/deploy automation & DevOps frameworks

  • Familiarity in building and consuming APIs (REST, API Gateway, etc.)

  • Possessing outstanding technical and analytical skills with strong business knowledge in the financial services domain

  • Good project management, experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM), communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with requirements gathering analysis, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and review

  • Optional: Data engineer (Databricks, AWS, Snowflake) related certification is a plus

Optional: Cloud (Salesforce, AWS, Azure) certification is a plus
