CommScope is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer! This is a hybrid role, and you will be expected to be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
This role partners with Steel and MetroCell Product Line Managers (PLM) and business development teams in the generation of new product ideas driven by customer feedback and market trends. Provided technical support, product data information, and analysis of existing products. Other responsibilities include
Direct support and contact with Architecture and Engineering firms to position CommScope products in their customer designs.
Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and thermal design engineers on wireless solutions.
Support the Quick Turn Product Sample process to build customer prototypes and samples through collaboration with our Euless Manufacturing facility.
Develop product bills of material and lead all aspects of product BOM loading into SAP.
Work closely with other CommScope business units to optimize the integration of their products into new wireless systems.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
A completed bachelor’s degree and three or more years of professional engineering design experience
Strong background in FEA analysis. Ansys, Abaqus NASTRAN or SpaceClaim software
Proficiency in solid modeling software and data management
Ability to function independently and within a team environment.
You Will Excite Us If You Have:
Beam analysis (RISA or equivalent) experience and exposure to steel fabrication, metal casting, sheet metal, machined parts, and plastic part design and fabrication
SolidWorks, SAP/PLM design experience
Wireless telecommunications design experience and exposure to relevant Industry code (TIA or ASCE/SEI)
Working knowledge of RF systems or cellular networking sites
BSME or MSME
