Dynatron Software Manager, Cyber Security in Richardson, Texas

About the Role:

The Manager of Cyber Security oversees the operation of Dynatron’s security solutions. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our security infrastructure, ensuring the protection of our organization's data and systems from cyber threats. You will lead a team of security specialists, manage and monitor security tools, investigate security incidents, and implement strategies to continuously improve our overall security posture.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive IT security program aligned with industry best practices and security frameworks.

  • Oversee the implementation, operation, and maintenance of security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, data loss prevention, etc.)

  • Evaluate and recommend any new features within our current applications and new vendors/products that improve our overall security posture

  • Lead a team of security specialists in monitoring security events, investigating potential threats, and responding to security incidents.

  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and best practices.

  • Manage CyberSecurity Awareness Training program, including annual training, phishing simulations, October SAM, New Hire training and monthly boosters

  • Manage vulnerability penetration testing and remediation processes to include both internal and external regulatory required audits.

  • Report on security metrics, trends, and incidents to senior management.

  • Set goals and objectives for assigned teams for achievement of operational and strategic results.

  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting areas of expertise.

  • Meet with clients and potential clients to discuss security questions and concerns

  • Manage relationships and contracts with third-party vendors we select for Cyber Security

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant cyber security experience

  • Over 5 years of experience in an Information Security leadership role managing teams

  • CISSP or equivalent security certification

  • Strong understanding of current cyber threats, regulatory frameworks (e.g. NERC CIP) and information security technologies

  • Experience with the implementation of NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) or other comparable frameworks

    Ideal Candidate:

  • Track record of metric-based evaluation of cyber security posture and proven ability to balance risks and make sound decisions

  • Expert in interpreting and communicating technical information in business language and vice versa

  • Thinks strategically with a focus on business value; able to develop strategies while incorporating a broad organizational perspective

    Compensation Range:    $125,000 - $155,000
