Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Gift Officer is responsible for establishing and growing Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) Foundation’s philanthropic presence where MCHS has a significant presence. This role develops, cultivates, solicits and stewards a portfolio of 150-200 major gift prospects and donors for gifts of $10,000 or more that will benefit research, education and patient care needs at MCHS. The Gift Officer works closely with members of the Foundation team to promote a team environment and enhance communication and efficiency efforts while playing a supportive role in annual giving, special event sponsorship acquisition, donor cultivation events, planned giving and volunteer management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field.

Preferred/Optional: None

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: Five years’ of fundraising, sales, or related experience. Advanced computer skills required in Microsoft Office products.

Preferred/Optional: Five years’ experience in fundraising.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, with acceptable driving record and maintain for the duration of employment.

Preferred/Optional: Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification provided by the Certified Fund Raising Executive International.
