CACI is looking for an ABAP developer for a new SAP-based development effort. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with development, maintenance, and support of applications related to SAP ECC 6.0 or higher, SAP S/4 HANA with latest versions and other IT systems and will also possess solid communication skills across all organizational levels.

Duties and Responsibilities

This SAP Developer will be responsible for performing the following activities including:

  • Reviews and understands customer requirements and specifications.

  • Interprets business requirements and implements the necessary technology to fulfill requirements.

  • Develops the critical components of the solution, including but not limited to security rules, infrastructure, custom adapter implementation, and application interfaces.

  • Writes increasingly complex code to create single-threaded or user interface event driven applications, either stand-alone or those which access servers or services.

  • Develops code necessary to complete the assigned project(s) in the specified time frame according to departmental standards and guidelines.

  • Leads and participates in code and design reviews

  • Designs and ensures unit and integration testing is completed to ensure quality.

  • Writes, modifies, and debugs software for client applications.

  • Architects and codes multi-environment system solutions utilizing various programming languages.

  • Profiles, analyzes and optimizes the software he/she is responsible for implementing. Employs best practices for design, development, unit testing and test plan development.

  • Actively participates in the documentation of software requirements, functional design, flowcharts and diagrams.

  • Supports completed software throughout the Software Development Life Cycle and in production

  • Provides support for the build of RICEFW items

Required Skills

  • High degree of initiative, creativity, and technical ability to successfully function on this team is required.

  • Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 10+ years of SAP development experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with development, maintenance, and support of applications related to SAP ECC 6.0 or higher, SAP S/4 HANA and other IT systems.

  • Practical experience with programming Function Modules, Object-Oriented ABAP, BOR, User Exits, Workflow, Enhancements, Reports, Dialog Programming, Webdynpro, LSMW, Data Conversion, SAP interfacing technologies (ALE/IDoc, BAPIs, flat-file interfaces, PI/XI, SOAP, XML, Webservice, Proxies, APIs, REST services), ABAP Floor Plan Manager, ABAP on HANA and using Eclipse. Experience in conversions in SAP S4 HANA using Data Migration Cockpit (LTMC - Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit).

  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA - Data Modeling using HANA Studio, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA, AMDP, code push down techniques, CDS views, Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) and backend OData services, Native SQL, ABAP Core data Services, Data Base Procedures, Text Search, ALV on HANA and HANA Live models consumption.

  • Knowledge and experience using ABAP RESTful Programming Model ABAP Development for SAP S/4HANA

  • Expert troubleshooting, debugging and problem analysis skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of the Agile methodology or a related project waterfall methodology.

  • Knowledge of front-end Fiori development (HTMLS/CSS/JavaScript).

  • S/4 HANA implementation experience preferred.

  • Designing and implementing modern UI5 or Fiori-style front-end User Interfaces using SAP libraries and techniques would be a plus.

  • SAP certification would be desirable however not necessary.

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100-$172,400
