SOS International LLC Resource Operations Manager in Reston, Virginia

Overview

SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Resource Operations Manager to join our team in Reston, Virginia supporting a humanitarian assistance project for our government customer. The Resource Operations Manager is a senior role reporting to the Program Manager overseeing the day-to-day activities, specifically within the area of Performance Management (Organizational, Process, and System Effectiveness), in a fluid and dynamic environment. Must be able to quickly learn and integrate new concepts with past experience and apply both to address customer needs. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected, and the individual will rely on self-directed learning, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Essential Job Duties

  • Provide managerial guidance and oversight of the program resource operations

  • Provide program-wide oversight of all inputs, outputs and outcomes associated with program performance

  • Assist the Program Manager to develop and deploy Performance Management program capabilities and applications that contribute to the achievement of business, program, and contract objectives

  • Oversee daily performance ofcontract support personnel ensuring program requirements are met in accordance with the contract statement of work (SOW) at best value (Performance, Quality, Cost)

  • Communicate directly with customer operational and program leads as required (or delegates and provides oversight, accordingly) to maintain a good, effective working customer relationship

  • Hold operational meetings as required to discuss operations and support personnel performance in order to identify program deficiencies and propose potential solutions

  • Conduct analysis and provide reports with recommendations for all assigned work functions, activities, processes and organizational departments

  • Assist with the development of systems, processes and tools to enhance program performance

  • Maintain communication with program support staff setting program goals and objectives by assisting the various supporting teams to establish operational policies and procedures to enhance program operations

  • Coordinate directly with corporate Information Technology (IT), Recruiting/HR, and Travel departments to facilitate achievement of overall performance objectives

  • Perform administrative tasks as required to achieve assigned duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in Sourcing, Intake Qualifications i.e. Training and Testing, Security, Customer Training, SOSi Training, Hiring, Acquiring, and Workforce Engagement

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree; HR or Military experience may be substituted for a college degree

  • Minimum of eight years of Operations/Operations Support experience

  • Minimum of five years supervisory experience

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Office Software)

  • Experience working in a Government Contractor environment

  • Willingness to work in a “hands-on” role, multi-task, adapt to shifting priorities, and work extended hours to include weekends (if required) in a high-energy, deadline oriented workplace

  • Must be high-energy, flexible, work well with teams, and able to find creative solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with interpretation, translation, or linguistic operations strongly preferred

  • Master's Degree preferred

Work Environment

  • Work in office in Reston on hybrid schedule

  • Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary

  • May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs

  • May require up to 25% travel in support of assigned tasks and responsibilities
