Job Description

Our client is looking for a remote .NET Developer to support a large government customer. This developer will participate in building and modernizing web-based applications to support a large project, work with technical leads to develop and enforce standards, collaborate with a development team, and follow solutions as they are developed through production deployment. The team will perform custom software developments to modernize siloed, legacy applications using modular design standards. The team will work closely with clients and other contractors to ensure the performance and reliability of public-facing, mission-critical applications. Additional responsibilities include:

* Collaborate with others to define and implement optimal, complete solutions based on stakeholder needs.

* Design backend and frontend web-based software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

* Analyze and design databases within a solution stack, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

* Apply and generate best practices in multiple technical domains using various technology products and services.

* Capture and share best practice knowledge with the internal technical teams.

Hourly rate ranges from $50-60/HR depending on experience

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or equivalent

* 9+ years of software engineering experience

* 5+ years of experience with:

o Developing backend software using the C# programming language

o Developing frontend software using HTML/JS/CSS/Razor

o Building web applications using technologies including ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core MVC, ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET Core Web API

* 3+ years of experience with .NET Core

* 3+ years of experience with dependency injection

* Designing and developing RestAPIs

* ORM Technology experience (such as Microsoft Entity Framework)

* SQL database modeling and query optimization experience

* Ability to obtain a public trust clearance null
