Position Summary

Bechtel is seeking a talented, energetic, ambitious S3D/CAD Specialist who wants to join our Digital Delivery team in Reston, VA. As a S3D/CAD Specialist, you will work with various GBUs, projects in setting up S3D, standardizing work processes, facilitate data integration across functions, promoting new features, enhancements developed by COTS or in-house automation team.

The position offers ample opportunity to "make a difference" in global execution of projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating with GBU stakeholders on S3D standardization

• Leading the 3D ASG (Application Support Group) based in India

• Working with SMEs (Subject Matter Expert)

• Coordinating with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Project Controls and other departments to resolve integration issues

• Recommending project integration adjustments in coordination with the project IS&T, EGSs, and the Project Engineering Manager

• Driving standardization of integration across the corporation

• Providing user training in the area of native application functionalities, in-house enhancements, data automation and integration

• Lead in testing and certification of new application versions for Project/GBU use

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

Level I

• Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Management from an accredited college or university

• 8+ years of experience in Plant Design & Piping

• 6+ years of experience with S3D

• Intermediate knowledge of other Bechtel corporate work process and applications (cross-functional)

• Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

• Ability to build productive and collaborative internal/external working relationships

• Customer focused

• Ability to write detailed procedures

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and meet schedules

Level II

• Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Management from an accredited college or university

• 10+ years of experience in Plant Design & Piping

• 6+ years of experience with S3D

• Advanced knowledge of other Bechtel corporate work process and applications (cross-functional)

• Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

• Ability to build productive and collaborative internal/external working relationships

• Customer focused

• Ability to write detailed procedures

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and meet schedules

• Experience configuring and supporting Smart3D

• Experience with data modeling and normalization

• Experience with Power BI and Business Intelligence

• Good working knowledge of Engineering and Construction industry codes and standards

• Experience in Engineering and Construction work processes and tools
