Compensation Business Partner Remote

We’re searching for a collaborative and detail-oriented Compensation Business Partner who gets excited by complex compensation problems and wants to make an impact. Ideal candidates will have a proven history of influencing their business partners with a combination of subject matter expertise, relationship-building abilities, and advanced analytical skills. This role is part of a dynamic team that collaborates in the development, implementation, optimization, maintenance, and communication of compensation programs that ensure alignment with ICF business strategy and goals.

About this position:

  • Support a dedicated business group as the primary compensation point of contact, engaging as a consultant and advisor to proactively act on talent initiatives and providing end-to-end client service on compensation-related matters.

  • Build consultative and collaborative relationships with HR Business Partners, Recruiters, and business leaders on compensation programs and initiatives.

  • Develop and provide guidance on solutions for a wide variety of compensation matters, including job offers, out-of-cycle increases, promotions, retention agreements, etc., ensuring competitive, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

  • Manage and support a variety of compensation related projects, processes and initiatives including annual compensation planning cycles, career framework leveling, FLSA exemptions, pay transparency efforts, mergers and acquisitions and other ad hoc projects throughout the year.

  • Analyze and monitor fair and consistent application of compensation programs. Anticipate and answer questions that may arise.

  • Review compliance with applicable regulatory requirements regarding employee pay while staying up to date on current related legislation (FLSA, Equal Pay).

  • Support change management and communications associated with new program implementations. Continually improve and iterate on internal compensation projects and processes.

  • Perform analysis on effectiveness and equity of existing compensation programs and model potential impact of alternatives. Distill insights, convey findings and make recommendations.

  • Build and deliver robust compensation-related training, education materials and communications to client teams and stakeholders.

  • Provide direct support of Workday compensation activities, testing, validating, auditing, and reporting.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 6+ years of experience with working in a professional environment in a compensation role, including using job content, job analysis, and salary benchmarking data

Professional Skills:

  • BA or BS degree

  • Strong understanding of job content, job analysis and salary benchmarking particularly in the technical services/government contracting/high technology industry sectors.

  • Strong working knowledge of compensation related policies, laws and regulations.

  • Excellent technical skills including advanced expertise in Excel, reporting and analytics.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of employees — including excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to hold a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness for completion of projects.

  • A pro-active, forward-thinking approach to work; the ability to see the big picture, while managing details.

  • The ability to be comfortable and work independently in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.

  • Experience with presenting complex information to non-technical audiences.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$102,285.00 - $173,884.00
