Pay: $21.30/hour - $32.25/hour Position As a Lead Stores Clerk, you will receive, store, and distribute material, equipment, and products for the company. Stores Clerk Responsibilities include: Daily scheduling and organizing work departments Provide direction and scheduling to production team members in their daily activities Assigning work and giving directions Monitor work progress Communicate with all departments, logistics, engineering, and production management (to include management on other shifts), as well as with needs, priorities, and issues Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and, ultimately, external customers Investigate and fix problems on the production floor Coach, mentor, and develop team members by investigating the root cause of scrap and RMA issues. Work with the team and quality department to prevent recurrence Train and orient new employees on company standards and procedures Implement 5S tools and reduce variation in the work environment Develop employees' continuous improvement abilities Use and develop visual systems so that no problems are hidden. Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior Ensure each employee meets company goals and objectives and provides constructive feedback Reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed Fills and/or creates requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code; marking materials with identifying information and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms Assembles customer orders from stock, places them on pallets or shelves, or conveys them to the packing station or shipping department Ensures parts are pulled, kitted, and ready in advance of actual production needs Maintains inventory records, records amounts of materials or items received or distributed, and keeps the database system in real-time Preferred Qualifications: Two years of supervision experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Demonstrates technical work proficiency in the department assigned to Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce Ability to comprehend and follow specifications and procedures Proficient mathematical skills Basic computer knowledge Familiarity with cycle counting programs Organizing and coordinating skills Familiarity with ERP systems Working Conditions: While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment Usually work indoors.
