Job Functions / Responsibilities * Ensure that the facility Environmental Management System (EMS) functions and is maintained in accordance with the requirements of ISO14001. Meet with management and plant representatives to report on performance of the EMS and set environmental goals and objectives. Schedule and manage external surveillance and re-certification audits. * Schedule and perform internal compliance audits. * Interface with local, state, and federal agencies as well as PACCAR Corporate with regards to all environmental inspections, permitting, and compliance issues - including corrective actions and follow-up responses. * Develop, maintain, and enforce formal compliance plans, procedures, and operating records to meet regulatory requirements. Facility permits include Title V Air Operating permit, King County Wastewater Discharge authorization, and Industrial Stormwater General permit. * Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies and management in a timely manner. Maintain and follow an environmental compliance calendar. * Work with in-house HazMat technician(s). Ensure their training meets regulatory requirements and is appropriate to maintain and build upon their skill sets. Provide regular feedback and encouragement to team members. * Embrace and use lean methods, standard work and visual performance metrics in all aspects of your work and your team's work. * Support and manage six sigma projects by taking on the role of Champion/Green Belt. * Work within a team to plan, develop and implement short and long-term environmental projects. * Schedule, profile, and track waste disposal activities in compliance with regulations.
