Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Accounting Operations Analyst join our team in Abany, New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting payroll functions, managing company credit card platform, and maintaining inventory management and asset tracking. This role involves managing and maintaining fleet documentation, reviewing driver analytics, and leading the planning and implementation of a comprehensive health and safety program.

Responsibilities:

• Support payroll function, including processing weekly payroll, assisting with tax filings and payroll reporting

• Oversee the Purchase Order system, proactively researching and implementing cost reduction opportunities

• Handle company credit card platform

• Develop and maintain inventory management and asset tracking systems

• Manage and maintain fleet documentation and vehicle/asset repair history

• Review Driver analytics and make recommendations based on findings

• Maximize application; research and implement beneficial apps/tools as needed

• Develop and maintain Driver Onboarding procedure for all new hires, participate in timeline adherence and follow up

• Lead the planning, implementation, execution and overall management of a comprehensive health and safety program including OSHA and Flagger certifications.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using accounting software

• Strong skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Demonstrated experience in billing and invoice processing.

• Capable of performing data entry tasks with high accuracy.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation.

• Familiarity with ADP - Payroll system.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in accounting will be an added advantage.
