SUMMARY:

Textile/Floor Cleaning Technician

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk and bend for long periods of time and be able to comfortably lift fifty pounds.
  • Demonstrate ability to deal effectively with all department management and staff.
  • Prior experience in textile cleaning preferred

``` - Knowledge of Steam Extractor, Whittaker, Buffer, Pressure Washer, Auto Scrubber, Vehicle, and various hand tools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Maintain appearance of textiles throughout Western Village Inn and Casino.
    • Clean carpets, upholstery using extraction and Whittaker machines.
    • Spotting carpet and upholstery stains.
    • Vacuuming.
  • Keep Equipment Operational.
    • Following manufacturers operating and care guidelines.
    • Cleaning tools and equipment used at the end of each shift.
  • Maintains Safe Working Environment.
    • Following Western Village safety procedures.
    • Reporting any mechanical and functional problems to supervisor and coworkers.
    • Reporting and correcting situations that do not comply with safety regulations.
  • Respond promptly to the needs of the company.
    • Assist all departments in an emergency situation, (i.e. flooding, fires etc.)
  • Contributes to team effort.
    • Communicating cleaning actions to appropriate supervisors and coworkers.
    • Noting areas requiring additional care or monitoring.
    • Performing special projects as assigned.
    • Provide courteous customer service.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • Demonstrate ability to deal effectively with all department management and staff.
  • Maintain department communication.
    • Working closely with shift supervisor and manager.
