SUMMARY:
Chewy is seeking a
Food Safety Training Managerto support the ongoing expansion our Food Safety programs! They will facilitate training and assess the skills/ proficiencies of Team Members and leadership teams at the FCs against the food safety programs/ policies/ processes implemented throughout the FC network and ensure that food safety standards are upheld within the Fulfillment Center network!
Training content includes (but is not limited to) pest control, sanitation, good distribution practices, temperature control, and other facets of title 21 of the code of federal regulations.
MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Chemistry, Biology, Food Safety, Food Science, Environmental Engineering or related technical field is required
- Minimum of 5+ years experience Food Safety Programs in a distribution, warehousing, and/or manufacturing setting.
- PCQI Certification
- HACCP Certification
- Must be a Qualified Individual by FDA definition
- In-depth understanding of FDA regulations and how to apply them, specifically 21 CFR 502, 117, and 1.
- Ability to plan, lead time and multitask proficiently
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High-level recordkeeping skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to travel up to 80%
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Facilitate food safety training across the FC. Pharmacy, CVC and Corporate network.
- Proctor tests and practical assessments to identify proficiency/understanding of training content.
- Build training schedule based on need and recertification.
- Track training completion for Team Members and leadership in FCs across the network.
- Lead employees and management trainings.
- Guide leadership and employees on scheduled training and coordinate their progress.
- Collaborate with Food Safety team on content creation, as needed.
