SAIC Cost Estimator Senior Principal in REMOTE WORK, Virginia
Description
SAIC is seeking an experienced and motivated Cost Strategy Senior Principal to join the Corporate Pricing Team. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical, collaborative, critical thinking, and problem-solving experience. Candidates must also work well under pressure.
This position is 100% remote nationwide.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions
Read RFP and formulate questions to Gov if draft RFP/RFP has conflicting data
Prepare financial charts highlighting financial business model; risks, key assumptions; business metrics
Develop comprehensive strategic approach to pricing bid case and execution case to meet corporate benchmarks
Identify potential risks and devising mitigation strategies
Facilitate communication across departments to ensure strategy alignment
Prepare financial charts highlighting financial business model; risks, key assumptions; business metrics
Analyze PWS and identify appropriate job families and skill levels
Map RFP labor categories to the SAIC job families based on job description, education, and qualifications
Coordinate with procurement and pricing to generate subcontractor labor templates
Derive targets for subcontractors and analyze results
Coordinate with Solution Architects to obtain estimates
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience
Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in Basis of Estimate (BOE) development
Candidate should be familiar with multiple program types (CPAF, CPFF, LOE, FPLOE, FFP, T&M, IDIQs, etc.) with varying degree of complexities.
Demonstrate the ability to process and analyze large volumes of data in Excel and consolidate into management level reports.
Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations and principles, and accounting and finance principles
Expert-level experience in Excel, MS Office, and highly proficient in IF formulas, VLOOKUP formulas and pivot tables
Highly proficient in revenue recognition methods and profitability analysis
Proven ability to analyze job market trends and incorporate data into BOE development
Experience with Request for Proposals (RFPs), and formulating cost strategies to increase Price-To-Win (PTW)
Can make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, accounting principles.
Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision (self-starter), be persistent in follow-through, and perform effectively within deadlines.
Ability to balance long-term thinking with short-term execution.
Must be able to multi-task and support program with efficiency and accuracy.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
