SAIC Configuration Analyst Senior in REMOTE WORK, California
Description
SAIC is seeking a Configuration Management Senior (CMS) for Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I), PMW 160 will be responsible for assisting the government in establishing and maintaining a documented baseline for one or more of the programs within the Tactical Networks (TACNET) Program Office. Working across multiple business process areas, the CMS will gather, analyze, and verify data on existing enterprise platforms, locations, hardware, software and documentation for entry into the configuration management system (CMPRO) for the establishment or update of baselines in accordance with PMW 160 Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
This role is remote located in San Diego, CA. Must be local to area or willing to move to area.
JOB DUTIES:
Supporting the government's CM program and assisting the lead CMS in developing, reviewing and maintaining the program CM Plan.
Assisting the lead CMS with product structure/configuration hierarchy definition and maintaining configuration baselines (Functional, Allocated, Product, As-Installed).
Analyze and work with Bill of Material (BOM) and Technical Data Packages (TDPs) to build product baselines within Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO) tool.
Document and track Configuration Items (CIs) throughout their lifecycle.
Responsible for working with developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (e.g. product, fielded products).
Maintain configuration control over the multiple changing product baselines.
Interact with cross-functional groups on the program(s) to support products, drawings, software and documentation updates maintained under CM control.
Maintain baseline control of all software and hardware configuration items and documentation.
Control, analyze and update HW and SW baseline artifacts as the results of audits.
Oversee and maintain version control over multiple baselines being developed and fielded simultaneously.
Participate in engineering events/milestones (System Engineering Reviews (SER), System Engineering Technical Reviews (SERT)) and the point of contact for all WAN baselines for engineering events/milestones.
Generate reports, metrics and other data associated with the WAN baselines for both HW and SW products.
Participating in Integrated Product Team (IPT), Program and PMW Configuration Control Board (CCB) and Platform Technical Review Board (PTRB) meetings/discussions.
Reviewing, updating and providing CM process training to contractor and government personnel as required.
Supporting the government's Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) process and procedures.
Providing weekly status updates and Monthly Activity Reports.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or Information Technology with five (5) years or more experience in performing Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, or Configuration Audits.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start.
Must have CMPro certification and familiarity with it's uses.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Software configuration management experience preferred.
Prior experience with PMW 160 or other NAVWAR Organizations.
Familiar with the use of Jira and Confluence.
CMPIC certification is a plus.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
