PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $122,000.00-$149,100.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $94,500.00 - $176,500.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As a Sr. Enterprise Data & Business Intelligence Analyst at BECU, you will be responsible for up leveling BECU’s data-driven decision-making capabilities by introducing new analytical and BI Products to our analysts and business teams. You will own the design, delivery, and maintenance of our Business Intelligence Data, and Advanced Analytics products and services. Collaborating closely with the Enterprise Data Management team, business, analytics teams and the larger BECU data community, you'll transform internal customer needs into powerful data solutions. In addition, this role is responsible for requirements, design, validation methods, metadata, and data cataloging. You will act as a liaison between business units and technology teams, work on complex data initiatives spanning multiple BECU departments, and mentor fellow BI analysts across the organization. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Facilitate Requirements Sessions: Lead sessions with product owners, business partners, developers, analysts, and data stewards to clearly document Business Intelligence (BI) product/program requirements.

  • Data Management: Manage data sourcing, gap analysis, metadata requirements, business rules, and algorithm documentation in a standardized manner reflecting data management principles and guidelines.

  • Collaborative Development: Engage with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams throughout the lifecycle of business intelligence and data analytics from ideation to execution for complex projects/products.

  • Exploratory Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analyses, generate and test working hypotheses, and identify patterns from complex data sets.

  • Problem-Solving: Evaluate and adapt techniques for tackling computational and analytic data challenges, apply learnings across multiple data areas.

  • Validation and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans, validation scripts, ensuring the validity, quality, and reliability of business data in analytic repositories.

  • Data Modeling: Design and maintain conceptual and logical data models supporting enterprise data management initiatives.

  • Policy and Standards Creation: Create and communicate policies, procedures, and standards for the efficient use of Enterprise Business Intelligence solutions.

  • Documentation and Training: Manage technical data release manuals, system configuration documentation, and provide training based on different user personas.

  • Cyber Security Compliance: Ensure the management of Cyber Security practices and policies within your program or product portfolio.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Design and implement solutions to meet all data privacy, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

  • Technical Walk-Throughs: Conduct technical walk-throughs and demos with development and business stakeholders.

  • Mentorship: Guide team members on systems, data sources, configurations, and BI tool suite.

  • Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, IT, Business, or equivalent work or educational experience required.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a related position required working with data management solutions required.

  • Advanced experience as a Business Intelligence Power User and Data Consumer required.

  • Advanced experience acting as a business liaison and delivering both strategic and operational solutions to technical teams required.

  • Advanced level knowledge of SQL and Data Modeling for SQL and NoSQL Repositories required.

  • Knowledge of theory and usage of Cloud Computing required.

  • Knowledge of data engineering vocabulary and data architecture, including experience working with Azure, DataOps, JIRA, or other agile development tool required.

  • Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and implement projects in accordance with established project management methodologies required.

  • Advanced knowledge of multiple business intelligence and data discovery tools such as Tableau or Power BI required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of data manipulation languages and tools such as Python, Alteryx etc. preferred.
