The National Security Sector at Leidos is hiring for a Lead Audit and Compliance Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to help drive department-wide business reform for the customer by integrating transportation and financial processes at the transaction level to optimize financial management of the Transportation of Things that support the Department of Defense financial auditability requirements and closing identified auditability gaps. The customer is seeking a multifaceted solution consisting of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel, and Facilities and Policy changes as well as the implementation of a commercial-off-the-shelf Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE).This position is contingent upon contract award.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Interface with company leadership as well as with the government customer, Program Manager, task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel to ensure all technical, financial, contractual and performance requirements are met to bring about the successful completion program goals and objectives.

  • Formulate work standards, create strategic project objectives, and manage client issues and feedback.

  • Supervise staff and maintain up-to-date comprehensive audit and compliance program for a large-scale ERP program.

  • Supervise designated resources and enforce quality control practices for the project.

  • Project reviews and overall contract progress and performance.

  • Review high-level deliverables and integrates service quality processes throughout the engagement.

  • Project estimation and resource planning efforts and resolving project issues, such as technical compatibility, client expectations, and timing.

  • Identify themes capable of being developed into new accounting strategy methodology.

  • Help to ensure overall soundness of analytical approach and suggest alternatives.

  • Manage programs audit and compliance resources.

  • Act as a key sponsor of firm initiatives.

  • Lead development of new business enterprises through technical innovations.

  • Plan, organize, secure, and manage resources to achieve the successful fulfillment of program goals and objectives and ensuring program adherence to scope, schedule, and budget constraints.

  • Oversee compliance of daily operations ensuring on time deliverables.

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Ability to be cleared for a DoD Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship required.

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum of eight years relevant experience. A master’s degree may be substituted for four years of experience.

  • Requires one of the following; Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM).

  • Level III Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Program Manager or Program OR Project Management Professional (PgMP / PMP) certification is required.

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: audits (financial, performance, recovery, transportation, and contract audits), standards (Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and non-GAGAS), compliance assessments (financial statements, financial information, and internal controls), or organizational performance improvement (accounting system design and accounting advisory services).

Favorable if you have:

  • Experience managing audit and compliance for large complex information technology programs for Defense organizations.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
