Job Summary

As a Senior Software Development Manager on the Resort Application Development team, you will be responsible for leading multiple teams that develop custom software for critical and high-impact projects. These teams are responsible for internal APIs that provide core functionality to a variety of employee and guest-facing clients. The software stack primarily consists of .NET C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Angular and WPF. You will be responsible for guiding a group of high-performing software developers while ensuring business objectives are being met, working alongside other software development leaders and managers within the Resort Application Development team.

Candidates must bring experience with leading enterprise software development teams using an agile-based approach. Candidates must be strong producers of talent and foster a culture of transparency, innovation, and a sense of purpose among the team, while creating clear accountabilities to drive success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the teams deliver committed projects on time, within budget and of high quality.

  • Assess software projects with other technical and business leaders to help transform high-level business ideas into actionable projects.

  • Help formulate a technical roadmap to establish a long-term strategy that will drive the architectural strength and longevity of our systems.

  • Ensure solutions are built in a forward-looking manner aligned with the multi-year technical roadmap.

  • Ensure all configuration and development changes follow the appropriate SDLC and adhere to all appropriate security and compliance controls.

Job Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field required.

  • 5+ years of software development management experience.

  • Experience architecting and crafting technical solutions.

  • Ability to successfully resolve situations that are broadly defined, complex, diverse, and occasionally unprecedented.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills across a variety of audiences.

  • This role will not require direct software development; however, prior hands-on object-oriented software development experience is required to effectively lead the software development team.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior software development experience utilizing C# and the .NET framework.

  • PCI and/or SOX compliance.

  • Prior work in the ski resort or hospitality field.

  • International or cloud software implementations.

  • Point-of-sale / transaction processing experience.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $129,900 - $160,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
