Senior Director, Portfolio Leader

About the Role

The Sr. Director, Portfolio Leader will manage and grow the Finance Accounting & Procurement Outsourcing business. This person will have direct profit/loss responsibilities for the group and be responsible for the product roadmap. They will ensure the solutions are delivered that meets or exceeds client expectations. They will also achieve short- and long-term goals for financial performance, operating efficiency, client satisfaction and growth of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Create the strategic vision of go to market offerings for business unit.

  • Identify chosen market segments, identify new competitors, refine/update existing business model, determine important (cross-product) decisions that will drive growth.

  • Drives continuous innovation and improvements by meeting with clients and the industry to gather feedback.

  • Work closely with (i) technology/engineering leadership and (ii) marketing organization to develop a vision and strategy for product offering roadmaps to maximize growth and profitability.

  • Ensures that product strategy translates into delivery of sellable solutions and ensures that training of the sales organization occurs. Accountable for the revenue of products sold, so closely connected with sales leadership to ensure sales support and proper quotas are set.

  • Works closely with General Manager to develop a financial forecast on existing, new and developing market solutions.

  • Lead market research, participate in industry panel discussions and events.

  • Develop commercial models and overall pricing strategy with Finance

  • Motivating and leads a high-performing team. Attract, recruit and retain top talent and provides mentoring and development as a cornerstone for succession planning.

  • Representing the organization. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal and external constituents, including consultants, analysts, and advisors.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in management roles of increasing responsibility. Also have demonstrated experience managing a services business with full P&L responsibility of at least $75M with over 2,000 global employees.

  • Have the flexibility to navigate successfully in a highly matrixed, rapidly changing organization. Maintaining the highest degree of integrity, and ethical behavior.

  • Have an open, collaborative leadership style. Demonstrate the ability to listen and synthesize complex information into actionable insights; and to inspire self and others. This will show outstanding business results within a highly matrixed environment.

  • Demonstrate the ability to establish immediate credibility with prospects, clients, and business partners. Must have exceptional communication skills and good knowledge of the finance, accounting, and procurement outsourcing space.

  • Have a successful record of managing and enhancing client relationships to ensure client satisfaction. Also have the instinctive ability to qualify leads. (a “nose” for what business to chase)

  • Be able to show commitment to creating an environment in which every member of the team can be successful. Specifically, a great focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.

  • Possess a positive attitude grounded in reality.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $170,000-$225,000.
