KBF Manager/Supervisor, Corporate Tax in Remote, United States

KBF is currently seeking a Manager/Supervisor to join our Corporate Tax Services team.

The KBF Corporate Tax Services group is 100% focused on income tax accounting assistance, tax compliance, and tax consulting. This includes preparation and review of income tax provision calculations, income tax return preparation and review, assistance with day-to-day federal, state, and international tax matters that may arise, and the identification, design, and implementation of tax planning strategies. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of accounting services to ensure technical accuracy and high-quality work product within budgetary and time constraints

  • Serve as the primary client service contact for a portfolio of clients; proactively recognize opportunities to provide additional services

  • Lead and manage teams of tax professionals:

  • Review Associate and Senior work before submission to Partners for top-level review

  • Participate in the mentoring and development of team members; Be actively involved in team recruiting, training, and retention

  • Prepare and review income tax provisions pursuant to ASC 740

  • Provide tax provision and tax compliance services for a variety of corporate clients, from start-up ventures to Fortune 500 multi-national businesses

  • Assist in administrative and operational initiatives as assigned by firm leadership

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration with concentration in Accounting or Finance, or a financial discipline directly related to the position (foreign equivalent accepted); and

  • 4 years’ experience as a Tax Intern, Tax Associate, Senior Tax Associate, or similar position.

Skills & Requirements:

  • CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification; any applicant who does not possess either the license or certification will have one year from date of hire to obtain the license or certification.

Four years' experience in each of the following:

  1. Preparing and reviewing income tax return work papers in accordance with U.S. Federal, State, and Local income tax laws;

  2. Preparing tax documents using Tax Compliance Software, and the following Excel Tools: VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and INDEX+MATCH; and

  3. Advising clients regarding tax strategies.

Two years’ experience in the following:

  1. Leading and mentoring a Team of 2-3 Tax Associates; and

  2. Reviewing U.S. Federal, State and Local income tax returns prepared by Tax Associates.

One year of experience in the following:

  1. Preparing and reviewing corporate tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 standards and other guidance under U.S. GAAP.

All experience, skills and requirements may be gained concurrently.

Headquarters in Lake Oswego, OR; Remote Position - May telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.
