Position Overview

The Client Funds Lead is responsible for managing the daily tasks and performance of CFA analysts, and ensuring the team is accurately reconciling all of our client funds accounts for Paylocity.

Responsibilities

The below represents the primary responsibilities of the position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Manage, review and approve day-to-day activities of staff, including daily/weekly reconciliation for payroll/tax/benefit accounts

  • Manage, mentor and provide performance evaluation of select staff members

  • Provide training to team for technical and professional development

  • Establish weekly assignments which fosters overall team and company success and stimulates individual development

  • Make decisions and provide an action plan for client out of balances

  • Perform month end reconciliation and research, and provide support to Accounting

  • Collaborate with Product Team and other internal stakeholders in the testing and rollout of new business initiatives

  • Monitor daily cash balances by client, and across the total client base, to ensure all deposits have been made timely and all cash collections have been properly recorded and cleared

  • Work closely with the Banking/Tax Treasury and Finance teams to recommend fixes to MasterTax or Web Pay activities as needed

  • Work closely with the Banking/Tax Treasury team to discuss and find resolution to exceptions and enhance cross-function collaboration and reporting

  • Recommend and instruct staff to make cash collections as indicated by reports

  • Ensure department operating procedures and internal controls are followed

  • Work toward a goal of continued process improvement

  • Review and approve process documentation

  • Support Client Services Inquiries

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • 5 years’ experience in a payroll service or banking operations

  • 3 years in service bureau account reconciliations

  • Experience managing and mentoring staff, preferred

  • MasterTax Software experience

  • Thorough understanding of payroll service bureaus

  • Problem Solving Ability

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • Strong Team and individual work ethic preferred

  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability

  • Proficiency in MS applications including Excel and Access

  • High level of integrity

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $64,811 - $90,825/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
