ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As a potential Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Business Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a talented team of professionals in support of clients in multiple states. This potential role will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating software development and system modernization activities in a state-wide implementation effort. SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Provide superior project support utilizing industry best practices, process improvement knowledge, and Agile project management methodologies.
Exercise strong written and oral communication skills, can multi-task, and has excellent follow-through skills.
Provide client facing support during the implementation of new software.
Assist in completing all contract deliverables, including written project status reports.
Develop and manage the process of verifying that system and software products operate and comply with requirements and/or design of the customer.
Collaborate with the project team including State Agency Project Team, Project Manager, the Design Development, Implementation Contractor, and the Project Support Services Contractor.
Review all software vendor deliverables (e.g. design specifications) for the assigned functional scope area for accuracy, completeness, and correctness; confirming decisions from Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) meetings and previous deliverables are included and correct.
Identify, analyze, and document software development process breakdowns and develop recommendations for process improvement.
Review quality control processes and identifying areas needing improvement.
Monitor project activity related to any SDLC process assigned (e.g. requirements gathering, testing, project management, vendor oversight), providing real-time observations as appropriate, and documenting issues/risks for the project testing approach based on industry standards and best practices.
Report to and take direction from the Project Manager (PM).
Participate in business development by identifying new opportunities and assisting with proposal development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business analysis, project management, IV&V, quality assurance, or related field.
Experience and knowledge of IT industry standards and best practices, (i.e., PMBOK, IEEE, Agile, NIST, etc.)
Risk Management and IT Governance experience.
Issue identification and mitigation experience.
Strong client presentation skills, ability to answer questions and respond to dynamic client responses.
Experience scheduling and leading IT meetings and coordinating technology and staff resources.
Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience providing consulting services to a government client or agency.
Experience with enterprise transformation or modernization
Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) principals and methodologies.

Compensation / Salary Range: Greentree adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc.
Bonuses: Greentree has an employee referral bonus, as well as employee bonuses based on employee contributions and Greentree’s yearly performance.
