Job Description Summary

The Head of Enterprise AI is responsible for securing and creating value from data assets, building and operating our AI analytic platforms, and developing advanced analytics capabilities using data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and GenAI capabilities. Leading a growing team with expertise in financial engineering, forecasting, data science, applied analytics, machine learning engineering, GenAI, and data science/ML Ops platforms. The CoE for data science, ML Ops and forecasting report into this person. The position reports to Chief Data and Analytics Officer. This individual will be responsible for transforming GE HealthCare’s enterprise capabilities in data and advanced analytics to deliver on our Enterprise AI aspirations.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Shape the organizational mindset to envision the possibilities for advanced analytics including AI, generating demand for advanced analytics solutions to provide intelligence to decision making including autonomous AI

  • Operate as a visionary for the team of advanced analytics experts, while also enrolling non-experts in the outcomes achieved by the advanced analytics team

  • Partner with key stakeholders and engagement leads to identify business needs and opportunities to be translated into advanced analytics solutions to create value and competitive advantage

  • Develop the advanced analytics enterprise roadmap, including constant evaluation and incorporation of valuable data assets, technologies, and methodologies in both applied and innovation AI/ML, data science, financial analytics, and advanced analytics

  • Build and cultivate an industry-leading advanced analytics team that attracts, develops and retains talent

  • Identify areas needed to up-skill the expertise by attracting new talent to GE HealthCare and/or implementing strategic sourcing partnerships

  • Develop a culture and environment where experts thrive, oversee the development of competency models, career paths, and onboarding and training programs for the individuals in the group

  • Collaborate with functional IT teams to identify existing, or new, areas that can benefit significantly from advanced analytics

  • Partnerwithvarious internal groups, most notably, senior leadership within our CIO and CTO organizations, our key business stakeholders, notably Integrated Supply Chain and Services, Finance, and Commercial

  • Stay abreast of market evolutions and dynamics regarding GE HealthCare’s position in industry

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of data and analytics experience, with 5+ years of management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related graduate-level degree

  • Previous experience leading and managing large-scale organizations through significant change management/transformations

  • Proven experience managing complex projects and portfolios to deliver business outcomes

  • Strong leadership skills: excellent team management, coaching and mentoring skills; superior planning, process and influencing skills

  • Deep knowledge of advanced analytics and AI technologies and methodologies, as well as proven experience translating large data into actionable outcomes

  • Track record for consistently meeting or exceeding qualitative, as well as any relevant quantitative, targets and goals

  • Ability to communicate statistical and technical ideas and results to non-technical stakeholders in written and verbal form, including experience and level of comfort presenting concepts to senior executives

  • Business travel is required for regular internal and external business meetings 10-20%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of healthcare data and analytics experience, with 5+ years of management experience

  • Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related graduate-level degree

  • Deep knowledge of business analytics and associated practices relevant to the healthcare/medtech/pharmaceutical/biotech industries

  • Experience with secondary market research data, such as syndicated sales & marketing data, claims/EMR data, and longitudinal patient data; understanding of statistics and modeling techniques; experience with specific statistical analysis software, etc.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $240,000.00-$360,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
