Description: A remote Mechanical Design Engineer job is currently available at Belcan. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace, and a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Design Engineer in the aerospace industry.

Job Duties:

Designers will be involved in completing various design tasks supporting the development and production of launch vehicle tooling and propulsion system tooling.

Designers will take ownership of design tasks from start to finish, interface with customers and stakeholders regularly, implement process and productivity improvements for existing hardware, and apply unique solutions to meet hardware usage, fabrication, assembly, and testing requirements.

Designers are expected to regularly communicate and work with other team members to ensure consistent work and quality.

Required:

o Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field from an accredited institution.

o 4+ years of design experience within the aerospace or related industry.

o Candidate must have ProE/Creo CAD experience.

o Candidate must have excellent mechanical aptitude and communication skills.

o Legal authorization to work in the U.S. as a U.S. citizen.

Preferred:

o Experience designing tooling and support hardware for a variety of end usages.

o Experience creating and/or reviewing engineering prints.

o Experience creating and/or reviewing Ansys structural analysis packages.

o Familiarity with launch vehicles and/or liquid fuel rocket engines.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $85,000 to $104,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
