TEKsystems SRE Architect (100% Remote) in Remote, Oregon

TEKsystems Global Services has an opportunity for an SRE leader / Architect who has leadership experience in software development, system architecture and SRE practices. This individual will set the strategy for the SRE practice in the responsible business technology domain and be accountable for its performance outcome.

Responsibilities :

· Set direction for the SRE group in various technology domains and SRE practices, such as observability framework, resiliency, DevSecOps etc.

· Define Strategy and goals for the SRE team

· Setup/Enhance SRE best practices in the areas of observability, automation, resiliency etc

· Be accountable for the delivery and performance of SRE Teams

· Evangelize the SRE practice across organizational boundaries

· Drive modern software development processes

· Recommend relevant and implementable technologies that not only represent the state-of-art SRE practices/trends but also benefit the overall application modernization journey

· Architect necessary new platforms/libraries/toolchains/APIs to enable broad scope SRE adoption

· Drive broader developer community to adopt the SRE best practices

· Develop playbooks on various SRE, DevOps and related topics

Qualifications :

· Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology fields, or equivalent professional experiences. Master’s Degree is preferred.

· Conversant in state-of-art observability trends, tools, products, and technologies

· Ability to identify organization wide gaps in the SRE practice and identify implementable solutions that contributes to the transformation of the organization

· Ability to drive adoption of a new technologies or initiatives across organization

· Ability to build and lead a high performance SRE teams to consistently achieve business results

· Ability to drive development team to strictly adhere to the SLO/error-budget

· Ability to influence management in picking the right strategy, process, and structure to bring in organizational transformation.

Technical Experience:

· 3+ years of professional site reliability career experience

· 10+ Years of Total IT experience building complex systems.

· Experience with automation platforms tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps (ADO) or GitLabCI

· Experience with cloud providers like Amazon Web services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

· Experience with container and orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift

· Experience with Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt

· Experience with the open-source telemetry (OTel) frameworks and tools.

· Experience with monitoring, APM, and alerting tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, Newrelic etc.

· Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, PagerDuty, XMatters etc.

· Ability to create the technical documents on SRE best practices and process

Certifications

· Solution Architect Certification in one of the public clouds AWS, Azure or GCP. Professional level is mandatory.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $82.00 - $92.00/hr.
