PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $100,900.00-$123,200.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $78,400.00 - $145,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:
The SEO Manager is responsible for aligning with content creators, developers, PR, and marketing teams to drive SEO initiatives that support BECU’s membership and engagement goals. This role will focus on enhancing site visibility through strategic SEO efforts, with a priority on organic traffic growth. Key responsibilities include developing and overseeing a comprehensive organic search strategy, as well as tracking, testing, optimizing, and reporting outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Program Development & Improvement: Continuously refine the organic search program, applying the latest SEO best practices and trends to support strategic objectives.
Strategic Execution: Lead and execute SEO initiatives across technical, content, authority, linking, local, and offsite SEO to maximize site visibility and engagement.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Conduct competitive analysis and monthly reporting to identify trends, monitor key metrics, and leverage insights for optimization strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with content creators, developers, and other stakeholders to translate high-level SEO strategies into actionable projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Technical SEO Management: Work closely with site developers to implement technical SEO recommendations, effectively communicating their value to site performance.
Vendor & Partnership Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors, ensuring seamless and timely execution of SEO operations.
Performance Tracking & Reporting: Develop and analyze key performance metrics to assess organic search success, producing custom reports and data visualizations for stakeholder review.
Industry Knowledge: Stay informed on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry changes, adjusting strategies to maintain program relevance.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to integrate new technical capabilities and improve efficiencies across the organic search channel.
Support & Adaptability: Perform additional duties as needed to contribute to team success and organizational objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Business Administration or equivalent work/educational experience. Advanced degree preferred.
Typically requires a minimum of five years of experience in SEO/Organic Search Engine optimization and website performance management.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous role at a financial or similarly highly regulated industry preferred.
Familiarity with BrightEdge, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or similar research and reporting tools required.
Experience implementing and managing successful SEO strategies resulting in improved organic search rankings and increased website traffic.
Experience with search engine algorithms, keyword research, on-page/off-page optimization techniques, link building strategies, SEO tools/platforms, and ability to develop/execute effective on-site and off-site link building campaigns.
Experience with technical SEO aspects, including website speed optimization, site crawlability, and code optimization best practices, including Core Web Vitals tracking.
Ability to conduct keyword research, create SEO-friendly content, optimize meta tags, headings, and alt tags, and ensure engaging, relevant content for the target audience.
