What will you do:

Senior Software Test Engineers collaborate with product teams to ensure our solutions effectively address customers' evolving needs. They function as ambassadors of quality within the team, instilling a testing mindset to improve overall quality and team velocity. They are responsible for ensuring our software functions the way it is intended by creating automated testing plans and strategies, guiding software engineers and Software Test Engineers in creating and executing automated tests, and resolving complex challenges. They work side by side with software engineers to improve overall software quality and recommend opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Perform testing work independently and mentor junior team members

• Create test plans and oversee testing tasks from design to completion

• Solve technical testing challenges and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure complete understanding of the technical design of features

• Identify testing gaps in the team's product and drive strategies to address them

• Ensure test plans are reusable for regression testing and future releases

• Create automation strategies and enhance existing automation frameworks

• Work within the scope of a team, collaborating with developers and product owners

• Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and improve test coverage

• Coach and mentor test engineers to enhance automated testing capabilities

• Drive the team towards Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

• Actively participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives and technical discussions

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing

• Proven ability to build and extend test frameworks from scratch

• Experience working with BDD (Behavior Driven Development) using frameworks like Gherkin, Cucumber, etc.

• Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Node.js, Python)

• Understanding of client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React)

• Hands-on experience with testing tools like Cypress

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation testing within DevOps workflows

• Proficiency in writing SQL queries, including joins

• Experience with NoSQL databases

• Strong experience in API testing with tools like Postman and API automation testing

• Exposure to performance testing tools

• In-depth knowledge of software testing best practices in an agile environment

• Ability to design and execute effective test strategies

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and proactively resolve problems

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred)

• Creative and effective problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technology-related field, or equivalent experience
