Job Description

A tech lead provides the technical vision necessary for the team’s success. In summary, a technical leader combines technical expertise with leadership skills, ensuring successful project outcomes and maintaining a positive team environment.

Responsibilities:

Code Quality Assurance A tech lead is responsible for ensuring the quality of the codebase. They assess the existing code and find ways to improve it.

Technical Decision-Making:

  • Tech leads guide the team in making technical decisions. They consider trade-offs, evaluate technologies, and choose the best approach for the project.

  • Their decisions impact architecture, scalability, and maintainability.

Mentoring and Coaching:

  • Tech leads mentor junior developers, helping them grow their technical skills.

  • They also foster collaboration among team members, encouraging knowledge sharing and skill development.

Architectural Decisions:

  • Tech leads participate in architectural discussions. They contribute to designing scalable, robust, and efficient systems.

  • Their decisions influence the overall system architecture.

Project Management and Timelines:

  • Tech leads work closely with project managers to ensure project milestones are met.

  • They create work schedules, identify risks, and provide progress reports.

Technical Vision and Leadership:

A tech lead provides the technical vision necessary for the team’s success.

Experience and Education:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field is often preferred

  • Total professional experience of 9+ years

  • 5+ years of experience with object-oriented PHP and Drupal

  • Must be working in a people Management / Team Lead role for minimum of 3 years

Technical Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of the Drupal API and familiarity with using Composer for package management.

  • Experience working with Drupal 8 and Symfony projects

Programming Concepts:

  • A good understanding of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) concepts.

  • Familiarity with Design Patterns such as singleton and factory patterns

  • Team & Agile Scrum Management
