GE Aerospace Risk & Compliance Director (Cyber) in Remote, United Kingdom

Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace is a major manufacturer of aircraft engines and components partnering with the world’s major aerospace companies covering commercial, business jet and military applications.

We are currently recruiting for a Risk & Compliance Director to lead and consult on multiple cyber compliance work streams. This individual will work on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge within technical, solutions, business or information domains.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of risk and compliance professionals to perform compliance activities for the GE Aerospace enterprise

• Partner with and build relationships with key stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, external assessors and other Digital Technology teams

• Develop and maintain strategy and approach for ensuring compliance to external regulations such as UK Cyber Essentials and internal company technology programs

• Own strategy and standard work accountability for digital technology support required for Works Council consultations. This includes cross-functional schedule coordination, education of the DT teams, defining a clear path of engagement and advising of risk to critical project timelines

• Assist risk and control issue owners in remediation planning and execution, to ensure actions address root cause

• Coordinate and provide regular reporting on open issues and program statuses

• Influence decision making and prioritisation through active partnership with cross-functional teams

• Plan and manage budgets related to scope of team

• Communicate effectively both within immediate team and GE leadership.

• Ensure team receives consistent messages direction, strategy and results and has clear understanding of business

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” subject (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)

  • Significant experience in cyber risk and compliance

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience with LEAN methodologies

  • Experience in managing internal and external stakeholder relations

  • Experience working with global and remote teams

  • Strong communication skills

  • Demonstrated success solving complex problems
