PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $122,000.00-$149,100.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $94,500.00 - $176,500.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. As a Credit Risk Analysis Manager at BECU, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding and enhancing the financial health of our Real Estate portfolios. Imagine leading the charge in discovering and mitigating risks, shaping our credit policies, and influencing key decisions that drive our success. Your analytical expertise will not only help us adhere to high standards but also foster growth through innovative risk management strategies. Your insights will be crucial in guiding our risk analysis and reporting frameworks, ensuring that every decision is informed and impactful. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Risk Process Investigation: Dive into risk management processes by reviewing data and engaging with business unit personnel to validate and improve practices.

  • In-Depth Credit Risk Analysis: Conduct detailed credit risk analysis on loan portfolios and subpopulations to uncover potential threats and opportunities. This includes evaluating origination decisions, credit profiles, and management strategies.

  • Statistical Analysis & Modeling: Analyze and model current risk management strategies to monitor their effectiveness and explore opportunities for advancement.

  • Scorecard Enhancement: Perform statistical analysis to optimize the use of industry or custom scorecards for various risk strategies including origination and account management.

  • Credit Risk Interpretation: Examine credit risk analysis and craft narratives for senior Credit Risk Management and leadership to make informed decisions.

  • Presentations to Credit Committee: Present your findings and recommendations to the Credit Committee as needed, providing clear and actionable insights.

  • Leadership Collaboration: Partner with Executive and Senior Leadership to adapt the risk appetite and support credit risk initiatives across different areas including origination, campaigns, and collections.

  • Department Initiatives: Lead department initiatives and administration, working closely with the leadership team to drive success.

  • Mentoring: Provide guidance and training to junior Credit Risk staff, fostering their professional development.

  • Documentation & Procedures: Ensure all functions within your areas of responsibility are documented and up-to-date.

  • Vendor Management: Oversee vendor contracts to ensure quality and cost-effective service for BECU members.

  • Operational Reporting: Maintain and execute necessary operational audits and management information reporting.

  • Program Design: Collaborate with internal and external resources to design programs that advocate for employees and members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative or business field.

  • Minimum 7 years of related credit risk analytics experience.

  • Experience with quantitative software and database querying tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, Python).

  • Experience with data visualization and presentation development software (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, PowerPoint).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree.

  • Previous experience in Mortgage and Home Equity credit risk analytics.

  • Proficient in building cohesive cross-functional teams and facilitating collaborative decision-making.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Proven ability to collect pertinent data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word) with the ability to learn new software quickly.
