ICON Clinical Research Principal Manager, Patient Recruitment - Home-Based (US or Canada) in Remote, Canada

The Principal Manager, Patient Recruitment will be responsible for the development and execution of global Patient Recruitment and Retention strategy across assigned protocols. The Principal Manager will develop and implement a strategy that enables the delivery of study enrollment goals.

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive, appropriate, innovative and cost effective global patient recruitment and retention strategy that enables efficient and effective patient recruitment

  • Partner with feasibility lead to leverage feasibility insights in patient recruitment planning

  • Leverage available sources of information to evaluate past and current landscape, patient journey mapping, patient insights and prior metrics to formulate a patient recruitment plan

  • Communicate patient recruitment strategy, deliverables, and timelines to all internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and endorsement by Senior Leadership.

  • Responsible for timely and quality execution of agreed and endorsed global patient recruitment strategies

  • Management and oversight of all recruitment-related vendor activities

  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure alignment with key stakeholders around implementation of recruitment activities, timelines, changes in scope of work, effectiveness of recruitment campaign.

  • Develop and evaluate Key Performance Indicators to track recruitment and retention strategy impact and report campaign effectiveness to key internal stake holders

  • Provide day to day oversight of contracted recruitment vendors and ensure quality delivery to agreed scope and budget

  • Develop presentation content and present status updates in key internal stakeholder meetings

  • Contribute to process improvement activities within Patient Recruitment group

  • Provide operational guidance and day-to-day program activity oversight to more junior team members

  • Present and attend at Investigator and Site Engagement Meetings as needed

  • Work closely with Associate Director/Director Patient Recruitment to discuss and evaluate recruitment tactical performance, changes in strategy, and recruitment challenges.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within patient recruitment/retention and clinical trials

  • Proficient understanding of ICH / GCP guidelines

  • Proficient cross-functional understanding related to drug development

  • Advanced experience with drug development enrollment scenarios

  • Advanced experience managing third party external service providers

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced risk management skills

  • Advanced problem solving skills

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Global working experience preferred

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Experience analyzing the effectiveness of recruitment-related activities

  • Rare disease Patient Recruitment experience
