The Senior Business Analyst is a trusted and transparent partner providing strategic business advisement and services to business partners across Accruent’s Commercial teams. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units such as sales, marketing, and renewals to help them gain in-depth understanding into data and trends to help drive their strategy upon delivering critical KPIs. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects to assisting other managers on larger more complex projects related to commercial operational business functions.

This position reports directly to the Growth Operations VP, and this is a remote work from home opportunity with flexible office space on demand.

How you'll make a difference:

  • Engage and Collaborate with multiple departments to find opportunities, understand requirements, and translate into technical data science solutions

  • Build high-quality data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for organization-wide use, including executive management and all commercial departments.

  • Lead meetings regularly with the executive team and department heads to understand their needs and challenges and work to craft and explain data lead solutions.

  • Works cross-functionally to collect data and makes actionable recommendations at all levels. Present findings and recommendations to all stakeholders, including executive management and department heads

  • Champions scale in the business through initiatives such as simplification and standardization of processes, policies, and operating infrastructure.

  • Help build and update regular reports and build ad-hoc analyses supporting ticketing, sponsorship, marketing, and other business related functions

  • Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI to monitor key metrics and provide insights.

  • Help complete entire data analysis life cycle from procuring and cleaning raw data, identifying key insights, and working with others on the team to create interactive dashboards displaying those key insights

  • Design, engineer and maintain analytical tools and models using AI or data science approach and develop custom algorithms to create business solutions

  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency by establishing data governance policies and procedures

What you bring to the table:

  • Have experience in a data analysis or similar role.

  • Have English language skills (speaking, reading, and writing)

  • Proficiency in using Salesforce, Marketo, Outreach, Power BI, Dataiku, and Snowflake.

  • Familiarity with ETL processes (data cleanup and modeling)

  • Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills

  • Experience managing sales and product line forecasts.

  • Experience helping develop and maintain sales territory design and coverage models.

  • Works well in a team environment as well as independently

  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure with sense of urgency

  • Demonstrated success in role driven by deadlines, process, reliance on data and continuous improvement

Preferred skills/experience:

  • Degree in finance, statistics, accounting, economics or operations

  • Proficiency in coding languages: Python

  • Previous experience with a customer relationship management tool like Salesforce or HubSpot.

  • Previous experience with back-office applications like PowerBi, Marketo, & Snowflake
