Fortive Corporation Associate Support Manager in Remote, Brazil

Routine Responsibilities

  • Attend normal Support meetings, adhering to our expectations of being present and participating with no distractions. Examples include Management Weekly Tactical, Team Weekly Tacticals, ATCM, NPS-T Weekly, etc.

  • 1:1s on regular cadence with you direct reports that involve performance feedback and career development

  • Perform case audits for direct reports to provide case handling feedback (both critical feedback AND positive feedback)

  • Facilitate routine Weekly Tactical style meetings with team to provide opportunity for team to collaborate on various topics and to review team KPI results

  • Process on-call if applicable to your team

  • Respond to PTO requests in timely manner; communicate in person (if possible) & reason why if declining request.

  • Cascade information with attention to Reasons Why & What's In It For Me?

  • Ensure proper coverage for products your team supports by scheduling appropriate shifts

  • Communicate manager PTO with as much advance notice as possible; Provide team with go-to manager(s) who will be covering manager responsibilities

  • Help coordinate occasional skip-level meetings with Senior Managers & Directors

  • Transfer cases when a resource leaves to pursue either another internal or external opportunity.

  • Be an effective escalation point for both external & internal clients.

  • Foster personal relationships with individual care & attention to people, not just as employees.

  • Monitor & drive team morale.

  • Don't micromanage, but don't expect what you don't inspect

  • Be helpful, respectful, & honest.

  • Be an advocate for your team - show appreciation & stand up for them when needed.

  • Be open & flexible to trying new things & receptive to suggestions & asks from team members.

  • Provide real-time coaching with in-the-moment feedback about individual's work product.

  • Foster an environment of trust so your team continues to feel comfortable providing feedback to you.

  • Be an effective mouthpiece for the bigger picture and the larger organization.

  • Allow your team some safe space to voice concerns and express emotions.

  • Hold your team to a high standard.

  • Initiate regular development conversations & encourage team members to identify motivators and goals.

  • Have awareness for remote employee differences and include them by:

  • Explicitly invite participation or feedback during Teams/Zoom meetings.

  • Encourage conversation through Teams to facilitate relationship building & teamwork.

  • Check in regularly through the week with remote employees.

  • Use WebCam where possible in interactions.
