PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $188,700.00-$230,800.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $146,900.00 - $272,700.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As the Director Enterprise Program & Project Management, you will shape BECU's success story by leading a talented team of program and project managers. Your mission will be to seamlessly align people, processes, and tools to ensure initiatives are delivered with excellence. By applying project management methodologies, you’ll navigate the project delivery lifecycle with precision, identifying and resolving interdependencies across various business units in partnership with senior leadership. Your proactive approach will drive impactful change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Remote work within TX, GA, WA, AZ, SC, OR and ID.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead Complex Projects/Programs: You will oversee and direct Project Managers in delivering complex projects and programs across multiple business lines, ensuring projects are on time, within scope, and on budget.

  • Budget Management: Manage budget tracking and financial reconciliation for all programs and projects, maintaining financial health.

  • Define Project Scope: Collaborate with Tech stakeholders to clearly scope programs and projects, gather requirements, and develop comprehensive project, budget, and resource plans.

  • Risk and Issue Management: Oversee risk, issues, and change resolution processes, providing expert advice and recommendations to senior leaders for corrective actions.

  • Framework Development: Progress program, project, and product development frameworks (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) with a focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder communication.

  • Executive Reporting: Provide information and reporting to executive leaders to assess proposal values, project priorities, and ongoing risks and opportunities.

  • Agile Advancement: Spearhead the continual progression of Agile frameworks within BECU, emphasizing continuous improvement in partnership with the Enterprise Agility team.

  • Organizational Change Management: Lead efforts to manage changes to EPMO initiatives, processes, policies, and standards.

  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training within the department, conducting performance evaluations and fostering team development.

  • Focus on Critical Success Drivers: Identify key drivers of success and ensure team focus on critical path items to achieve impactful results.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or related discipline, or equivalent education/experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience.

  • Minimum 8 years of related functional experience, including managing projects, programs, or portfolios.

  • Knowledge of software development processes with practical experience in Waterfall, project management methodology, and Scrum framework.

  • Demonstrated expertise with Agile principles.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Experience in effectively communicating with senior leadership and executive levels.

  • Effective communicator at all levels, both in structured and non-hierarchical informal structures.

  • Effective servant leadership and negotiation skills.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Experience in short-range (one year) and long-range (three to five years) planning.

  • Experience working independently and as a team member, using discretion in decision-making.

  • Demonstrated experience solving complex problems in creative and effective ways.
