Equity Trustees Senior Relationship Manager, Native Title & Community Trusts in Remote, Australia

In this challenging and rewarding role, as part of a Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and administering community and native title trust relationships for the first nations communities. This involves designing, implementing, and reviewing policies, governance, and legal frameworks associated with key native title and community trusts.

About the role:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, engaging directly with communities, traditional owners, and beneficiaries, and guiding client engagement improvements.

  • Establish, design, and facilitate meetings with client groups, councils, and committees, ensuring smooth coordination.

  • Develop and sustain relationships with external organisations like member based corporations and financial advisers, while supporting internal stakeholder relationships.

  • Prepare and present financial and trustee information to decision-making committees and other relevant groups in a culturally appropriate manner.

  • Manage complaints and disputes efficiently, addressing escalated issues promptly and appropriately.

  • Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a client-first culture and driving performance.

  • Ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements, managing budgets and adhering to relevant policies and legislation.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Formal qualification in finance, business, law, or equivalent industry experience

  • Proven leadership and management in complex client service environments

  • Experience with Aboriginal communities or not-for-profit organisations

  • Ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders

  • Strong conflict resolution and contentious discussion management skills

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Empathetic, resilient, and adaptable character

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently both independently and as part of a national team

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences
