The digital transformation office is developing and deploying capabilities to digitally enable all functions across our Enterprise. In order to achieve the aspiration of a full digital ecosystem, the development, deployment, sustainment, and retirement of capabilities across the business must be carefully planned and executed.

This position will be primarily located in Redondo Beach, CA, however, we will consider a virtual telecommuter for the role.

The Digital Transformation Office is seeking a Deployment Program Manger (S03) to organize and lead the deployment of our DT solutions across the sectors and enterprise that directly support and enabled transformation within the business and functions. They will lead an enterprise team of sector deployment teams to drive the development and execution of the sector deployment plans (cost, schedule, risk and opportunity management, as well as maturing business cases) to ensure deployment and sustainment success. The candidate must have strong business acumen and extensive experience with a demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of business and finance concepts to lead the sector teams in developing robust and sound business cases to support the enterprise and sector investment strategy. This role will entail significant interaction with senior leaders at each Sector and Corporate to ensure capabilities meet adopting programs business need.

Core Responsibilities:

Program Management

  • Responsible for preparing the sector teams and the execution of the monthly program programmatic integrated cost, schedule, risk and opportunity to the baseline deployment plan for the DT and Sector leadership.

  • Responsible setting and collecting the monthly programmatic data and displaying in an executive level dashboard

  • Responsible for executing leading the sector teams to develop the detailed long range strategic plans (integrated master schedule, cost, risk & opportunities)

  • Responsible for the weekly review with the deployments team on forecast updates that impact sector deployment plans

  • Responsible for the flow down, coordination, and execution of the DTO sector execution cadence

  • Lead the annual and long range strategic investment planning process to determine annual prioritization and investments for the Sectors.

  • Lead the sector teams in developing robust and sound business cases to support the enterprise and sector investment strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years, or master’s degree and 8 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government programs and/or project management in other industries

  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degrees (science, math, engineering, or finance) from a nationally accredited institution

  • Five years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team, cost account manager, or business management

  • Four years of demonstrated success leading high-performance teams of at least 10 people and/or organizations to achieve a common goal

  • Planning, Scheduling & Cost: The ability to initiate, develop, integrate, execute, direct and control program plans and cost and schedule baselines that meet both program contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations.

  • Risk & Opportunity: Experience addressing uncertainty through an organized and analytical forward-looking approach that identifies risks and opportunities, determines appropriate handling plans to resolve or minimize impact.

  • Business Acumen: The ability to apply knowledge of business and financial concepts, tools and processes to the benefit of program decisions and performance. The candidate must have extensive business acumen and experience with demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of business and finance concepts to lead the sector teams in developing robust and sound business cases to support the enterprise and sector investment strategy.

  • Communications: The ability to manage communications with assigned staff and other stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs

  • Issue & Problem Resolution: The ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently holds and ability to maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance

  • 10 years of relevant experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries

  • Ability to travel up to 5 days per month (on average)

Salary Range: $164,200 - $271,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
