VCA Redmond Animal Hospital is expanding their team and is looking for a Veterinary Assistant!

Work Schedule: 4 shifts, 10 hours each (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

Compensation: $20 to $25 an hour, depending on experience.

Location: 17980 NE Union Hill Road Redmond, WA 98052

Position Summary: As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. You will assist with animal care, client communication, and daily clinic tasks. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a passion for animal care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, procedures, and surgeries

• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies

• Handle and restrain animals for exams, treatments, and procedures

• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed

• Provide client education on pet care, medications, and procedures

• Maintain accurate patient records and update client files

• Monitor patients during recovery and assist with post-op care

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic

• Answer client inquiries and schedule appointments

• Ensure the comfort and safety of animals at all times

Qualifications:

• Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of animal care and basic medical terminology

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

• Compassionate, patient, and a team player

• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds

• Must be able to work 4 shifts of 10 hours each (Monday-Friday)
