Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

We are seeking an experienced Content Writer to create comprehensive documentation for Support Engineers, enabling them to efficiently resolve customer issues. This role involves collaborating with internal subject matter experts to develop high-quality, localizable content including process flows and support documents.

The ideal candidate is a prolific writer with strong prioritization skills, capable of balancing depth and completeness across multiple projects. You should have experience in stakeholder management, problem-solving, and maintaining professional communication. With a critical thinking approach, you'll create engaging, user-friendly content while continuously improving SOPs. We're looking for someone with an iterative mindset who can bring fresh ideas to enhance content quality and internal workflows. Your ability to empathize with end-users and translate complex information into clear, actionable guidance is crucial for this role.

Key job responsibilities

• Create and maintain comprehensive Support Engineer documentation, including SOPs, process maps, and knowledge base articles

• Research and address Support Engineer pain points through content development, ensuring documentation meets evolving needs

• Manage multiple content projects simultaneously while collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy

• Develop and implement content strategy based on performance metrics, gap analysis, and learning pathways

• Drive continuous improvement through content experiments, peer reviews, and workflow optimization while maintaining documentation quality standards

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree or certification in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of 5 year's of experience designing and producing content for a technical support engineers

  • Experience using content publishing tools to write, format, manage, and publish technical content on the web

  • Ability to understand basic networking principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Background in Technical Support

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $195,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
