Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

The Technical Solution Manager will be on the Master Data Managment team which is part of the overall process engineering and value delivery teams. Our core responsibility is defining where and how the cloud supply chain master data will be stored, governed and tracked for data quality.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Software and Hardware Engineering to drive and deliver data driven improvements and capabilities.

• Collaborates with architects and technical partners to develop feature and capabilities inline with our overall architecture.

• Works with internal and external technical partners and/or architects to represent technical solutions to customers.

• Defines the program(s) deliverables and prioritization for the multiple feature areas (e.g., product, service) they own.

• Translates the needs of the organization and other teams into program deliverables and prioritized deliverables based on data-focused analysis.

• Engages in active risk management (proactive and reactive) to identify risks and propose mitigations for risks using data (e.g., telemetry, usage, net satisfaction, customer satisfaction).

• Defines success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs], Key Performance Indicators [KPIs] such as quality and performance) of multiple feature areas (e.g., product, service) and works with Software and Hardware Engineering to ensure needed telemetry is developed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming

• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming

• OR equivalent experience.

• 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

• 2+ years experience working with Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) master data governance and supply chain management.

• 2+ years experience working with Master data in structured and integrated with other systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

• 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).SAP master data governance design (MDG) and implementation experience

Technical Solution Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
