TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a long term onsite role in Redmon, WA

This is a W2 contract with hourly pay and benefits available.

Job Description

Our client is a pioneer in the gaming and entertainment industry and is seeking an experienced network engineer that performs technical analysis, design and network development on project related tasks of moderate scope and impact using appropriate technologies to support department and company objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Palo Alto - Firewalls Administration - analyze, review, policy writing and rule creation

• Route Switch /wireless Understanding - Juniper, Cisco, Aruba

• Logging Analysis of Firewall rules

• Being a team player

JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Typically works as part of team with more experienced Engineers and Sr. Engineers under direct supervision

• Works with team members to define the functional and technical needs of an organization and recommend solutions.

• Assesses available technologies to meet needs, and then define technical specifications and designs on tasks of moderate scope and impact

• Works with other engineers to develop and modifying technology networks, addressing functional, performance, security, quality, operations and monitoring needs.

• Creates detailed test scenarios, performs testing and analyzes results.

• Documents all technology changes through appropriate change control.

• Clearly communicates the status of the work, progress and obstacles to the team.

• Requires staying current on engineering approaches, technologies and technique

• Ensures work is completed in such a way to comply with established regulations and other internal controls

• Provides on-call support as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Typically requires one to three years of related experience in various network development technologies, patterns and practices.

• Understanding of TCP/IP Routing with a focus on BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.

• Understanding of Cisco ACI, IOS and Nexus OS.

• Understanding of network security and Firewall policy creation and support using Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama

• Familiarity with Load Balancing Infrastructure

• Progressively developing expertise, applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

• Experience working on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
