Software Engineer

Job Description: Responsible for developing or testing computer software applications, systems or services. Collaborating with different teams to synergize our strengths and software solutions to solve software problems for our customers. Increase resiliency of our service by improving observability features that would reduce the time to detect and recover from incidents. Creating design documents for software features as well as discussing and analyzing the design documents with members of the team. Advise and guide partners on how to use features owned by our team, as well as ensure our documentation is clear and up to date. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more per week within same area as assigned MSFT office location.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math, IT, Electrical Engineering or related
  • Experience: 6 months in any computer related occupation 
  • Education or experience in: C#, Git, Unit Testing, .NET, Cloud Development, Coordinating program development of computer software applications/systems/services from design through product release, and Visual Studio

Pay Range and Benefits Information:  The offered base pay range for this specific position (ML61112), in Redmond, WA, is $141,312 - $171,312.

 

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.?  

 

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
