Microsoft Corporation Software Engineer II in Redmond, Washington

Interruption Management Services monitors CPU utilization, performance, and consistency across the Azure fleet, collecting raw telemetry locally and aggregating it for the fleetwide analysis, discovering trends and anomalies. The results are used to help validate new Azure technologies, investigate customer problems, and drive up the fleet operation quality. Azure Profiler service enables customers to improve performance and reduce bottlenecks in their services by analyzing and providing valuable insights into CPU utilization and intuitive ways to explore massive trove of data from millions of guest VMs, host systems including Azure Boost.

Our team’s work requires combination of understanding low-level hardware and systems operation with building a global petabyte-scale data processing service, data analysis skills and wide enough technical expertise for efficient cooperation with multiple complex ongoing internal Azure technology projects.

Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

  • Work with various Azure platform teams to debug issues and understand and improve telemetry and debugging tools.

  • Ability to handle occasional live service on-call responsibilities.

  • Improve our team’s data analysis services and pipelines with new capabilities, better analysis, and improved reliability
