Stryker is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our new product introduction team supporting our Emergency Care Division (Defibrillator products) based in Redmond, WA.

What you will do:

As the Advanced Operations Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, validating and bringing new products to market. You will specify precise new product test requirements; design, test and integrate components to produce final designs; and evaluate the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety. In this role you will design, develop, execute and evaluate fitness-for-use testing, product specifications and test validation plans.

As the Advanced Operations Test Engineer, you will collaborate with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize test system designs and functionality. You will utilize Computer Aided Design or Computer Aided Engineering systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.

  • Application of a prioritized approach in Value Centered Engineering toward achieving key opportunities in quality, service and cost

  • Responsible for assisting in the development of a world class-manufacturing group that is proficient in process improvement and problem-solving manufacturing issues using Six-Sigma tools

  • Development and implementation of appropriate supporting documentation, standard operating procedures and process work instructions compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Provide engineering support for new product and new process introduction, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with Stryker New Product Development Process

  • Test procedure validation for products and processes and associated documentation

  • Responsible for projects (value stream and cross functional) as assigned by the company, including the scoping, approval, budgeting, specification, execution, qualification and operational handover as appropriate

  • Actively interface with cross-functional team members and 3rd party Vendors, and always practicing good teamwork in support of the day to day operating requirements, and in pursuit of achieving the business targets

  • Continuous monitoring and reporting of variables that feed into the business performance metrics, and pro-active identification and resolution of issues around any deficits in same

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required (electrical or software engineering preferred)

  • 2+ years related work experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Software writing and experience

  • Experience in designing test fixture requirements for PCBAs

  • Experience in medical or other regulated industries

  • Experience in technical leading, influencing and providing technical direction to Engineers, Coop Students, Technicians, and operators

  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team in an aggressive, dynamic and results motivated environment

$86,600 - $138,800salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
