Insight Global Fraud Analyst Redmond, Washington

Job Description

A client in Redmond, WA is looking for a Fraud Analyst to support their team. This person will sit within the Philanthropies group and will be responsible for analyzing data and identifying fraudulent activities within their registry and M365 resources that are consumed by non profits. The role involves investigating potential fraud cases, analyzing patterns and trends, identifying red flags and investigating suspicious activities. They will develop strategies to prevent future fraud incidents. This analyst will work closely with MSFT Nonprofit Operations Team, Risk/HIT Challenge team to work through fraudulent activities, escalations and provide recommendations for improvement that meets the business and program requirements.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

 - Responsible for the prevention and detection of potential fraud across all nonprofit registrations, M365 and Azure claims by reviewing customers' accounts

 - Identify fraud patterns through an established monitoring system and working with the MSFT Risk Team to prevent future attacks

 - Contribute to the creation of fraud rules by providing analytical data to support decisions

 - Ensure information flow and deliverables are met to mitigate fraud by facilitating weekly calls with MSFT Risk Team

 - Accurately document all actions taken on cases and frauds

 - Provide support to the operation and business units of the organization on fraud and service abuse related matters

 - Regularly prepare fraud reports for the monthly and quarterly business review meetings querying our database

 - Responsible for maintaining knowledge of fraud situation in the industry

 - Report risk information and findings to the immediate manager in a timely manner

 - Actively participate in team meetings, share information and make suggestions for improvement to fraud operations

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science (or related)

     - Knowledge and experience in data analysis, SQL, statistics, fraud detection systems

     - Knowledge of Azure services, features, tools

     - 5+ years exp with writing SQL Queries

     - 5+ years exp with the creation of PowerBI reports

     - 5+ years exp with Fraud Detection null
