Job Description The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Program Manager will provide on-site EHS and OHS consulting services for a high visibility research and development program for a high technology customer. The EHS Program Manager will own safety programming, advise on a wide array of EHS/OHS subject-matter, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to build trust. To be successful, the right candidate cannot have a rigid, "check the box" approach to safety, but must be adaptable, creative, and collaborative. The right candidate must demonstrate a keen ability to build relationships, prioritize tasks, and satisfy multiple stakeholders' needs. This role is part of a global team of safety professionals. * Owns the development, implementation, and management of safety programs. * Provides expert advice and consultation to stakeholders for implementing hazard controls, safety training, compliance to local, state, federal, and company standards, and other relevant topics. * Performs Industrial Hygiene (IH) Monitoring. * Conducts incident and injury investigations, risk assessments, audits, walkthroughs, and inspections. * Prioritizes tasks and effectively communicates project information to stakeholders. * Acts as brand ambassador for SGS values and expertise. Qualifications Required: * Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, orrelated field. Degrees in other fields will also be considered, or equivalent work experience. * Minimum 8 years of experience in the Occupational Health & Safety field OR equivalent combination of education and experience * Consulting experience * High technology industry experience * Research & Development experience Preferred: * Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or ability to obtain * Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or ability to obtain Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Ability to balance several assignments concurrently with different deadlines * Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to tailor messaging to diverse stakeholders * Professional credibility, preferable through an understanding of the environmental, industrial hygiene, and/or high technology industries * Strong ability to work across teams, groups, divisions of customer's compnay * Tbility to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues. The salary range for this position is $101,200 - $131,500 (dependent on experience).
