What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers Europe is looking to hire a Credit Control Manager in our Redhill, Surrey office.

You will manage the Credit Control Operations relating to all UK & Ireland Travelers entities. Managing across both locations to ensure:

• Debt is collected from Brokers & INI/MNA Partners according to the appropriate credit terms.

• All debt administration and processing including allocation of cash, is carried out in an efficient and timely manner.

• Key relationships, communications and query resolutions standards are maintained with brokers, share services, underwriters and third party providers such as instalment providers.

• Lead and manage the team and resources, including suggesting and driving forward business enhancements.

This role is eligible for a £1,500 referral bonus. If you are successfully referred by an employee at Travelers Europe, both you and the person who referred you could be eligible for this bonus.

Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

What Will You Do?

  • Manage cash collection from the Company's brokers within credit terms.

  • Monitor brokers and partners outstanding balances and understand levels of debt.

  • Manage and monitor the team targets to ensure they are achieved.

  • Manage and review the unallocated cash reports.

  • Review and improve the status of delinquent or bad performing brokers/partners to then pass to team to maintain as business as usual accounts.

  • Produce monthly credit control reports for business unit heads and senior management.

  • Assume responsibility for the assessment and control of items passed to the debt control agency.

  • Design, develop and implement systems and process enhancements.

  • Lead credit control projects in partnership with relevant stakeholders.

  • Lead the team, including managing recruitment, training and performance management.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Evidence of supervising within credit control.

  • Comfortable with working to tight deadlines.

  • Insurance industry experience preferred.

  • Proven track record of working with equivalent peer groups internal and external.

What is a Must Have?

  • Demonstrated people management skills.

  • A sound knowledge of credit control procedures, including the ability to set meaningful targets.

  • Strong knowledge of contract law and agency agreement.

  • Strong PC and spreadsheet skills (Microsoft).
